I loved school so much because I saw my friends there as well as other adults who were not my relatives. I believe that is why I became a teacher. School equaled my social life...it was the most wonderful thing besides drawing clothes for paper doll cutouts or reading comic books, my two other means of escape.
Fortunately, I soon moved on to real books where I discovered even more friends.In fact, lots of people and places excited my imagination through reading the pages of a book!

Childless women are often viewed by others as something odd or different. We are different, to be sure. Leave the odd part somewhere else. We have the time and opportunity to develop our own interests.
Mine was music. Playing the piano and singing a beautiful song with a lilting melody brought me unimaginable pleasure! My voice is no longer as pleasant as it once was, but playing or listening to music stillprovdes pleasure and helps my healing process. See: "50 Wonderful MS Years"
